Compassion literally means to suffer together. When you feel compassion, you are moved to take action to relieve someone else’s suffering.
This video shows compassion is action. Adam Levine and Maroon 5 had an opportunity to meet their #1 fan. This fan though got a little overwhelmed and started to have a panic attack. His mom laid down with him to provide some comfort and Adam Levine laid right down with him. He asked everyone in the area backstage to do the same. He saw this boy suffering and toko action to relieve his suffering.
Such a simple act, but one driven by compassion.
