Disposition: Perseverance

This month we explore the disposition of perseverance. In Chapter 11 of Onward Elena Aguilar shares that in order to cultivate perseverance and tenacity, you must look beyond short-term concerns and toward long-term goals. You need to put off immediate gratification and manage your impatience. You also must venture beyond your comfort zone and take on challenges of different sizes so that you can learn and can increase your confidence. As you work on boosting your tenacity, you’ll have
to view setbacks as opportunities for growth. And you’ll need strategies, such as the behaviors and habits discussed in this book, for dealing with the obstacles that show up on your path. More than anything, you’ll need to move—to take thoughtful, intentional actions and keep moving until you get to where you want to be.

There are really no words for how absolutely amazing this video is and how perfectly it depicts what Elena is talking about. Please watch Never, Ever Give Up. Arthur’s Inspirational Transformation! and see perseverance in action. You might want to have a tissue near by.
