Yesterday we took A Dive Into Envy, the emotion that is explored in Chapter 8: Cultivate Compassion of Onward. Today I wanted to share even a few more practical strategies from Onward that you can try when you are experiencing envy or jealously.
- Practice gratitude: Make a list of what you are grateful for. This can help you gain perspective.
- Use envy as motivation to improve your situation. Do something about an area of your life that dissatisfies you. What is it that you want?
- Stop spying on people. Stop trolling around on Facebook, or just get off of it altogether. For some this just feeds the green-eyed monster, so cut off its source or fuel.
