Using Mindfulness to Change Bad Habits

All of us unfortunately have a bad habit that we would like to change. Take charge of your life this month as you focus on mindfulness and break this habit.

Need a little motivation? Listen to this podcast from TED Radio Hour: Can Mindfulness Help You Quit Smoking? And then choose one habit you would like to change. Gear your mindfulness practice (breathing and body scanning) towards this practice. Use the meditations provided through the Onward website to help keep you focused and grounded.

Needing more, use the activity Relaxing Your Body: The Body Scan on page 98 of The Onward Workbook. To get the most out of this practice, use it three to six days per week for four weeks.
